Compass Health Network’s Successful Application of PropertyTRAK CMMS’s QR Code Feature

Daniel Grzenia, Senior Director of Facilities of Compas s Health, discusses how Compass Health Network uses PropertyTRAK’s QR Code feature within the CMMS solution to manage their Moonbeam UV disinfection system. The system has been used extensively over the past several years in their facilities to primarily kill COVID-19. They use PropertyTRAK’s CMMS QR code feature to track when a Moonbeam unit is purchased when the maintenance is due on the unit, and when replacement parts are needed. The Moonbeams are entered as an assignable asset and as a portable unit, so it can be placed at whatever location needs it. Employees in any of the Network’s facilities have the ability to put in a service request in the CMMS system, then Facilities management changes it to a work order, and sends the machine out to treat the space.

Compass Health bought a bunch of these Moonbeam units to take care of COVID issues when we’ve had active cases of the virus. The Moonbeam is a UV disinfection system, using a wavelength that kills and disrupts the DNA inside organisms. We use it to primarily kill COVID, but it works on anything. 

We perform approximately 125 treatments a week. Our dental clinics are all on a schedule, so they get done at least one or two laboratories at night. If there is a positive case, we will go in and treat up to the largest we’ve done is 70 rooms overnight. We use PropertyTRAK for the moonbeams by entering as an assignable asset and as a portable unit, so we can place it at whatever location we need at that time. 

Clients in the building will put in a service request. We flip it to a work order and send the people out to treat the space. We can track how many times we’ve used the system by pulling the work order list. We do have the checklist and we are able to track when we bought the unit, when the maintenance is due on the unit, when the warranty is done, which is massive on a unit this expensive. We also have visibility to parts that need to be replaced such as the light bulbs or batteries so we can track all of these items inside PropertyTRAK.
